Position: Sr. Manager/Manager, Market Research - PharmaceuticalLocation: Northern, NJSalary: $100K - $120K + bonus + incentives Summary: A rapidly growing (U.S. "start-up") pharmaceutical company with several marketed products in multiple therapeutic areas is looking to hire an experienced Sr. Manager/Manager, Market Research to work alongside the Vice President of Marketing focusing on primary and secondary market research with an emphasis in creating, validating, and refining asset-level forecasts and NPV (Net Present Value).

Responsibilities: Responsible for providing market research leadership and integration in the development and implementation of business plans. This position also provides strategic and tactical input in all levels of brand management and other functional areas through primary and secondary research. Key player on the business development team in developing a strategic plan through very granular, brand-specific, market analyses.

Specifics Include:

  • Present recommendations to senior management
  • Create, validate, and refine asset-level forecasts and NPV (Net Present Value)
  • Design and implement quantitative and qualitative marketing research projects
  • Manage external vendors and related budget
  • Provide appropriate insight to vendors and collaborate with brand team members to provide analyses of available primary and secondary data
  • Conduct market segmentation
  • Supports the Identifying and evaluating core positioning to ensure brand strategy is aligned with tactical execution.
  • Supports the planning process through market based situation analysis to identify opportunities and strategies
  • Collaboration with colleagues in Europe, Far East, the US, and the UK for developing and implementing training program of market research

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or MS desirable
  • Minimum of 3+ years pharmaceutical, marketing analysis/forecasting experience
  • Analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Experience doing analysis of in a marketing environment, especially for NPV
  • Strong understanding of both primary/secondary research sources
