Job Title: Manager of Internal Communications
Location: Seattle, WA or Portland, OR

Overview:
The Internal Communications team at Waggener Edstrom Worldwide is responsible for oversight and implementation of all internal communications for North America, Europe and Asia including employee communications, agency events, and executive communications. The team is responsible for helping in the development and implementation of communication strategies to help engage employees and provide them with a ‘line of sight’ between their role and the Company’s overall vision and goals.

Responsibilities:
The Manager of Communications will serve as a day to day lead/manager for internal communications teams in their respective regions and a primary focal point for integration and collaboration across regions and other teams.
This position requires global strategic thinking, collaboration with regional offices, development and leveraging of key relationships, demonstration of a high level of cultural consciousness, and flexibility and creativity in the delivery of all areas of accountability.

• Management: Responsible for hiring, staff development, and all elements of managing the day-to-day performance of the regional internal communications team, which includes but is not limited to establishing goals, managing performance issues, motivating the team, etc.
• Internal Communications: Identify effective and relevant messaging for our regional audiences through close partnership with agency leaders. Align with corporate marketing on messaging and timing for internal and external communications.
• Maximize all mediums/channels of employee communications including digital media, in person, Intranet, email, etc. Develop and implement regional communications strategies that accrue up to global communications goals and are the result of and reflect close collaboration with key internal partners/ stakeholders and clearly position Waggener Edstrom Worldwide as a truly global PR Agency.
• Agency Events: All aspects of regional agency employee events, including regional meetings/executive visits and local events.


Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field
• 8 years related experience with 4+ years in employee/internal communications and 2+ years in organizations equal to or larger than ours; prior professional services experience optimal.
• Strong writing skills/speech writing/C-level communications a plus.
• Prior global experience required. Experience with Asia and European offices preferred.
• Experience with multi-regional companies required.
• Ability to measure and communicate positive return on investment for all areas of accountability is critical.
• Technology savvy in utilizing internet, blogs, etc.
• Strong knowledge of MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint is preferred.
• Experience working with senior level executives required.
• Event management experience a plus.
